I’m Jendi... A coffee drinking, sunglass obsessed, music appreciating, digital designer!

As a friendly, positive and active team player with excellent communication skills, I find joy in being collaborative with stakeholders and team members to achieve excellence and optimized results.

I've been lucky enough to have experience across fast-paced in-house tech companies, and marketing and eCommerce agencies, which has given me a wealth of knowledge in communication, adaptability, and strategic thinking.

Some would say that I am a bit of a foodie, love a good wine and letting my creative soul explore! This thirst for exploration lead me to Canada, in the search for discovering new adventures, learnings, and meeting new people along the way.

Where it all started.

I started life in a small town on the west coast of New Zealand just outside of New Plymouth. I was lucky enough to wake up everyday to a gorgeous view of our Maunga (Māori for mountain) - Mt Taranaki. New Plymouth is a beautiful town and is where I began to develop my creative essence, however I soon grew out of the little town life and was ready to spread my wings into the big city.

In 2010 I moved to the 'big smoke' of Auckland to study a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design with Honours. From here I dove into the digital world starting my career at a digital agency which specialized in eCommerce and marketing. Throughout this time I learnt many different techniques, programs, platforms, languages, and communication skills.

Exploring the world.

In 2017, I decided it was time to explore more of the world outside of New Zealand, so I packed my bags and moved to Vancouver. Some thought I was crazy as I hadn’t been further than Norfolk Island at that point, but hey - if I didn't take the leap then I would never know. At the time I was only planning on being in Vancouver for 2 years. Well, after 4 years, I wasn’t ready to leave and continued on with Permit Residency here in Canada.

I’ve had the privilege of being able to explore many different areas of North America and some of Europe, seeing some incredible sights and meeting amazing people along the way. With a never-ending bucket list, there are still many adventures yet to be had!

I am passionate about learning and forever developing my skills. In order to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and produce polished work it is important to understand my own strengths, how these fit within my career, and how I can use them to strength a team.

People who are especially talented in the Arranger theme can organize, but they also have a flexibility that complements this ability. They like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity.

Those who lead through Relationship Building are the essential glue that holds a team together. Without these strengths on a team, in many cases, the group is simply a composite of individuals.
